Storm Causes Ceiling Damage in Fort Worth

When a hail storm hit Fort Worth, this home suffered roof damage which then turned into a water damage.  The result was a sagging portion of their ceiling. 

There are many instances when water damaged ceilings can be saved, and this usually involves the water damage being small enough to not destroy the ceiling’s structural integrity.  In these instances, we install air movers and dehumidifiers to dry the ceiling correctly.  Then, any remaining brown water spots can be repaired with a simple coat of paint. 

But when water damage is large enough to cause permanent damage to the ceiling, the damaged portion must be demolished and a new piece reinstalled.  As a full-service SERVPRO in Fort Worth, we are available to both treat the water damage and handle the subsequent repairs.  After the area is dry, a new piece of ceiling is reattached, patched, and painted to match the rest.
